Be careful, because your immune system is very weak immdediately after exercise. Go easy.

I read somewhere that this is false. When you excerise your body gives off this high (some chemical - I dont think its endophines) and thats what makes you think ur getting better.

I have excerised while i was sick and I "sweated it out". But the third time I did that, it didnt work, made it worse and I wanted to kill myself.

are u an ISU CYCLONE? >:)

working out and making you THINK you are getting better is true. working out and ACTUALLY getting better--FALSE.

It's like when you sprain your ankle and can't walk.. but you suck it up and play football or basketball and all of a sudden you are sprinting with no problem, no pains... just wait til you get done >;] hah.

It's all a JEDI MIND TRICK.

Going into a steam room is excellent for stopping an oncoming cold or flu.

I work outside in the winter and everytime I start sneazing or coughing I

go into one at my gym and come out like a new man. I don't know if it's

true but I've heard that breathing in hot air kills the germs, or viruses, or

whatever.

I don't know if exercising will help one get better. What I do know, is I don't want to get sick. So, if you feel like you are coming down with something, stay the HELL out of the gym.
Go ride the bus and cough all over the back of people's heads. I mean that's what the bus is for.

Dante:

I've recently been reading about the lymphatic system. It's a system that takes away toxins from our cells. The heart pumps blood to cells but the lymphatic system has no pump. Therefore it is necessary to exercise to remove these toxins.

Again, as Dante mentions, it is only good for those small colds. Get plenty of rest, drink plenty of fluids and get moderate exercise to help your lymphatic system remove the toxins from your cold.

Really there is no way around it, if you're sick you can't will it away by exercise...it can help prevent illness BEFORE it happens, not after .
